Sure do. I have a newspaper clipping on my office wall from the Aldershot Weekend News, March 20, 1970. It shows the disbandment parade, with me third from the right on my horse, Jock Fox, beside Corporal Danny Devereaux. I had a very happy year there.

I was Perm' Staff at JLR Norton Manor Camp Taunton 1970 to September 1971 - Motorcycle Training Wing.
Does anyone from Horse Transpot remember a 'Scouse' Davis (or Davies) from there? He had charge of, amongst others, the Regimental mascot, one 'Bruneval' a man's horse if there ever was one! Also in the stable was a 'Roger' who was great with beginers like me but did NOT like to be rushed in to anything above a slow stroll - as I found to my cost!
I lost touch with Scouse, and Paddy his boss, when I left the Service in September 1971 - a great mistake I might add. Would love to hear from anyone from those far off times.

Hi Mike, The dog was called Bruce. He was born in Buller Barracks, and when H Sqn moved to Beaumont Barracks years later he went with them. He took quite a while to adapt to his new home, and in his old age when H Sqn was disbanded he was sent back to (the new) Buller Barracks. But he was too old, and died after a few days. Great dog. I took him with me to watch Danny Devereaux show jumping at the Hampshire Horse show. I was in uniform, and found myself standing next to Princess Anne, who was competing as "Miss Windsor". She said "Make sure your dog doesn't scare my horse" and I replied "Yes Ma'am". Great conversation. One of the guys from the squadron, who was in civvies, walked up to her and asked her if she'd like to go to the flicks. A couple of security guys moved him away very quickly.
