I have just inherited some of my grandfathers WW1 service records. In 1916 he was in the RASC around Amiens in 629 Company 27th M&C Light Division MT Coy? (service number 049758). Among the documents is a daily diary he kept, it seems he was a Sergeant involved in 'Car' transport, mainly ferrying wounded around Amiens to outlying areas (Causawillen, Vecquemont & Longeau are mentioned). Any advice would be welcomed on how to find any more information.
