Hello to all
I have in my possession two Airographs (I think that's what they are called), they were sent to my Mother from Pte Alfred Smith who I believe was her cousin. I do remember him vaguely after the war when he lived in a prefab in Liverpool. I also remember that he died soon after and left a wife and two small children.
The address on the letters is Pte A. Smith - S/4977965 - R.A.S.C. - No. 7 Publications Depot - Persia & Iraq Force.
I would be most interested to learn more about what was the role of R.A.S.C. the depot in Iraq.
Many thanks - Gwen
