As an MOD civilian tending the STARRNET system I had the privilege of being accommodated firstly in the WO and Sgts mess in Portsmouth Barracks and then in quarters in Dachslieter Coerde. All this between 1969 and 1972. I helped start the Munster Garrison Motor Club along with Sgts Dave Tuplin and Keith Emerson, Cpl Brian (Lofty) loft and many others. I often wonder where they are now. They were great chums at that time.

Hi I remember you all quite well, I was also a member of mgmc from the early days, I still have a 2nd overall medal! I can't recall what Keith used to drive but I think Dave tuplin had a Hillman imp that he used to throw around. I was a member of 13sqn with Dave later a couple of us started a stockcar club unfortunately for me I was posted shortly after so never saw what happened to it! It would be nice to hear from anyone in D troop or mgmc.
