Are there any old soldiers out there? I am trying to get info on a relative who I believe served in the R A S C during WW2 His name was Walter (Wally) Bewers from Wickford Essex married to Enid. Have just obtained his medals from Canada(via Ebay) where he move to in the fifties None of my older relatives who remember him are not aware of him doing military service but the original box the medals were sent to him in bears his name and correct address in Wickford some other items obtained by us with the medals lead us to believe he was in the R A S C daes the name ring any bells with anyone

My Dad, Chris Johnston from Cleator Moor, West Cumbria was in the RASC at the end of World War 2. He is now 85 and still talks of his times in North Africa and the Middle East. I was wondering if there are any films, dvds or other publications about those times which I could get for him.
Many thanks, Richard Johnston
