Hi, if it was Bielefeld, I was there from 62 to 64 . Driving instructor. I also played for the rugby team which was one of the best in BAOR at the time. I left in 64 to go on an army youth team in Lichfield Staffs. Nice to see that there ars still a few around. Cheers, Tony H.

Hi anyone from the old 27 Coy/Sqn still on the go? I was there 1963 to 1967 Hi Jim, can't admit to being in 27 Sqn, I was in the same barracks and Regiment (10 Reg't) though. Catterick Barracks, Bielefeld, BAOR, BFPO 36 (I think). All who were in 36 Ambulance Squadron RCT, as I was, swear there should have been a sign above the camp gates on Detmolder Strasse with the words ' Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here'. It was a thoroughly crap posting and I endured it from 1966 to 1969. Made some good mates though - still in touch with a few of 'em.

I am looking further back to Malaya around 1957 to 1959 as I have my cousin's Red Book who has only just died. Cfn Brian Taylor will have been REME LAD with 27 Coy, probably at Ipoh. Brian was the reason I joined the RCT TA in Leeds for nearly 6 Years before joining the Sappers for 22. I would like to hear anything known about him.
