Hello to all: I'm a retired physician and one of my favorite patients and friend from Britain, served in India during WWII. He gave me the attached photograph and I was always curious to know exactly what his position in the army was. At the time, I was more interested in the motorcycle, since both of us were fans of British bikes! The inscription in the photo is as follows: CPL. John A. Cooper 5th Div. TPS. Coy. R.A.S.C. 5th Division British Army India, Sept. 1942 As can be seen, the photograph was taken by the Utangan River in Rajasthan. By an incredible coincidence, I had visited that vicinity while on a trip to India in 1972! John sadly has passed away, a very nice man.
