We are a voluntary group who look after 80 War and Remembered Graves in Bramley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This includes a Memorial to Major Geoffrey Appleyard DSO, MC and Bar of RASC then No.7 and No.62 Commando, he commanded the Small Scale Raiding Force and was the first 2nd in Command of the Second SAS Regiment.
His medals are on display at Deepcut, he commanded a RASC Mobile Repair Shop in France as part of the BEF.
In order to raise funds to restore and maintain his Memorial we have reprinted a facsimile edition of the book "Geoffrey" written by his father in 1946 - this has the full support of his family and marks the centenary of his birth.
Its a hardback illustrated book limited to 700 copies, produced in the UK and all proceeds after print costs and Amazon/PayPal marketplace fees, go to the restoration.
