My old man was RASC/RCT and sometime late 60s (69 I care to recall) was the SSM of 9Sqn. Alan Metcalf, now deceased in 2003. Joined in 1950 - retired 1977 as WOI (RSM) of 25 Tpt & Mov Regt. I was Ordnance Corps much to his dismay well, until we became RLC and back to the RASC under a new guise!
