Ally Fraser from 36 Sqn in 10 Regt. Anyone out there still alive who remembers me? Ally are you sure it was 36 Sqn and not HQ Sqn, they couldn't make their minds up as to what they would call themselves, as we were "Shiney 17", and "Lucky 9" was the other one. I did two tours with the best RCT Regiment, 74-77 and 80-83 both with 17 Sqn, and served a bit with 9 Sqn up at RHQ. 17 Sqn now disbanded, and there was a "Last Parade" at Buller Bks 30th March. Place is being demolished, now the nightmares can end ;D

36 gay as f**k, 17 are the legends of the Regt. Hard drinking, square head beating, starch using, boot polishing mother f**kers!. Oh and we could drive wagons any where, any time.

Hey lads! I was in 36 Amb (LAD REME) from 1968 to 73, T**T of a place but some good blokes and some good times. Played for 10 reg football team (silky smooth skills and a sniffers instinct!) Well, as me dad used to say, "...the older I get, the better I was!" There's a photo if you google 36 AMB Sqn and got to workshops of the footy team, I'm in the middle front row. You may remember others, Paddy, Pete Vickery, Swanny? I remember big Sammy Samways running amok, and the ginger headed lad who stole the 10 tonner and smashed it through Beilefeld for a few hours. Jeeezuz, and the Russians thought we were a force to be reckoned with!!! Great times. All the best; email address if anyone cares...michael_farrell2@bigpond.com
Cheers!

Yes, I was your Admin Officer - always remember your description of most of our trucks as 'sheds'

Hey Jack! Sorry sir but can't quite remember you particularly, but of course time can do that. Any photos anywhere? "sheds" was very apt. Hope you and yours are doing well. All the best!
