Help with fathers postings

Good evening, This is my first time on your site so if I am on the wrong one please let me know!
I have my late fathers army records but to check for marriage(s)& area I would like to know where abouts in Uk he would be posted.
He was in Gibraltar 20/09 1951- 33 company & stayed there until 02/03/1953 (although one of his marriages was in Gib in August 53) it says he was posted to 1 training Battalion he was posted to 6 training battalion. in 57 & discharged on reduction of establishment in 59. He lived in Bristol for, at least 20 years & died there in 1994. Would anyone be able to help? Thank you

Have you tried free bmd www.freebmd.org.uk/ ? Note that not all records have been transcibed yet. It would still be worth looking up on Ancestry at your local library or county records office where they have free access.

If it does it not say where the posting was on the service record I would have aread of this first www.army.mod.uk/rlc/history/351.aspx then write to here www.army.mod.uk/rlc/history/349.aspx postal only.
