Hi
I am trying to find out as much as I can about my father Ernest Kitchener Percival. He was RASC during WW2 and served all of the war in Africa going out to Aden and then to Kuwait where he was Artificier Sargeant Major.
I don't expect anyone actually knew him but would be grateful for any history of what the RASC actually did out in Africa or directions to where I can find out more.
I know he fought with the 8th Army, learnt arabic and used to go out on anti locust campaigns.
Any help would be gratefully received! ;D

Dad's service records arrived today ;D Will now spend Christmas holiday reading through all the pages and no doubt wanting to know more! I cannot believe how much information they contain Has anyone come across RASC 38 Coy GT? He was in Aden, Saudi Arabia and Eygpt as far as I can make out so far. Also number of entrys where it says Admin hosp and then discharge hosp, does this mean he was in hospital?

For 38 Coy you could try a letter to, The Royal Logistic Corps Museum The Princess Royal Barracks Blackdown Road Deepcut, Camberley Surrey GU16 6RW Have a look at this link too, www.army.mod.uk/rlc/history/351.aspxI believe your assumptions for the hospital entries are correct.
