hi not sure if anyone can help but i am trying to trace my family tree and have got as far as my grandfather who was in the r.a.s.c. his number, rank and name was 6844976 sergeant eric henry lake. i dont know what regiment he was with as there was no letter with his numbers as I got it of my fathers birth certificate. i would be grateful for any info. i know he passed away around 1999. He was married to an egyptian lady named Zeinab and they had four children, Arthur, Joann, Lynn and Horace (my father born 1947, whilst they lived at blackdown camp) Hope this info helps someone ;D

Was he in North Africa and Egypt? Do you know where he was stationed?
