Dear Friends.My Father ( now deceased ) joined theRASC,19.4.48 till 26.6.53.His name is George Pilkington CPL 22204083 985 Coy 1948. 697/48 Coy.1950.His records identify very little it sais,Home,1948-49,East Africa 1949.MELF 1949-1952,Home there after.Could any one tell me what parts of the world he would have visited/what sort of things he would have done,as we havent a clue.Where is home.In his records it sais,Waterman/ Seaman/Navigator, ( Trade Tests ) I would appreciate any help !! I am guessing that MELF stands for Middle East Land Forces.
The fact that his trade was "waterman" could he have worked on the Suez Canal or Port Tewfik. We had a lot of troops in Palestine as well.
