Hello, I am trying to find some more information on my grandfathers regiment, Alfred Mervyn Fletton, he was a baker and his army papers say he was in RASC O.C 40TH FIELD BAKERY, I am fascinated with finding out more information, anything at all would be helpful, he served in Italy, Austria, Egypt and sailed to war on the M.V Britannic on April 10th 1943 to Capetown (I think), I also have signatures of some of his fellow soldiers Dodd, Bates, Tynemault, Williams, Cottenham, Waltham, Oliver and Doyle. Many thanks

Many thanks Hi, I know this is an old post but I have also just found out my grandad, William Morrison, was in the 40th Field Bakery. He has this jotted down in a notebook along with other army numbers but no names, but I can't seem to find out much about them. We are going to send off for his army papers. Did you manage to get any further information? Thanks.
