Hi all. Just found the site, my dad Don Morgan served for 24 years in the RCT, we were brought up mostly in Germany from the early sixties with a short stint in Cyprus 1969/72. Dad retired in 1974 and went home to wales, he's still with us now 80 years young. I believe he did stints in 11, 21 and 58 squadrons with us being based in Duisberg, Hubberath and Dekhelia. Any of you guys out there who still remember him please let me know . Gvjmorgan@btinternet.com

Do you recall John Beresford from your time there as he is my father and looking to reunite with his old army comrades? Do you recall any of these other names as well: Bob Mills & Mick Saunders.

Jeez, some of you young 'uns . . . I served 1963 to 1972. First posting Kenya, garrisoned at Gil Gil. We got kicked out of Kenya and went to Aden late 64 to November 66. Then Bielefeld for a year followed by the Gulf (Sharjah) for 9 months. In 68 I joined H Squadron at Beaumont Barracks in Aldershot and was there until we horse soldiers were disbanded in March 70. Then it was back to BAOR, supposedly to 2 Div Headquarters & Signal RRegiment at Bunde but I wangled a job with Lt-General Sharpe at Bielefeld, looking after his horses (he didn't have a clue). In 71 I was back to the Gulf, to Bahrein this time. My discharge book says I was in Bahrein until December 13, 72, then back in Aldershot until September 26, 72. That doesn't make a lot of sense but then military bureaucracy seldom did. Anyone wanna swap reminiscences, my email is tocnews@gmail.com. I now live in Australia. Cheers.
