[I was at Norton Manor from 1966 to 1969 in Gloucester troop, A squadron. You must have still been RASC at that time? Did you go on to serve further?

I was there from 1961-1964 Carter platoon anyone else about Just sticing my nose in here. I was at Norton Manor Camp from December 58 to September 59 when it was 8 (Basic trade) Training Battalion REME and trained VMs. I was later with 20 Coy RASCwhen it became 20 Sqn RCT. According to my records that I got from Glasgow I was with 7 Sqn RCT Wksps from Aug 65 to March 66 but I'm sure I was with 3 Infantry Wksps at that time . Anyone know where 7 Sqn was? Jonah

Was staying at Norton Manor from Easter 1962 to Dec 1964.
Luckily in the "Best" Platoon HOBBS. In contact with quite a few ex Norton Lads, prominent name we should all remember "Wally STOPPER". Trying to increase our list and maybe reunion pending next year. Have a few photos. Email me.

HOUNDSTONE CAMP - YEOVIL Well to introduce a deviation I wasn't actually in Norton Manor Camp but I was with the RASC not a stone's throw away; Houndstone Camp in Yeovil where I was one of the first RAOC types to be trained by the RASC as a Staff Clerk. This would have been about 1965 and I remember that there were some splendid guys from the Taunton area on the same course. Cannot remember any names but do remember a little WRAC officer who had a degree in Zooology - most appropriate we thought, for an Army career.
