Hello. I wonder if anyone can help me?
My father, George Arthur Morris was in the RASC as a Driver. His service number was T/14186939. Sadly he passed away last Tuesday and I never knew much (he never talked about) about his Service Record. He enlisted on 06/02/46 and was discharged on the 05/02/58. I've just found his Certificate of Service and would like to know a little more. In particular I'm looking to find out what the acronyms stand for in the countries he served in. He did say he served in Burma and Malaysia and was shot in the arm. There is S.E.A.L.F. and FAR - ELF.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Colin Morris

Evening Colin,
The following abbreviations are:
SEALF - South East Asia Land Forces. FARLF - Far East Land Forces.
This would tie in with with your father's service in Burma and Malaysia.
It might be worth applying for his Service Record which will give you a list of his entire career.
Regards
James
