Good afternoon, I'm looking for some pointers as to where I can find out some more about my Grandfather's WW2 service. Particularly D-Day as we are going to Normandy shortly with my Mother (who is now in her 80's herself). We know that he was part of the landings on Day 1 and was driving a DUCW. Research so far is showing Gold Beach as being the likely landing place, but wanted to check. I'd also appreciate some pointers on where I can do further research to his general service, we know he was also in Palestine (as was). I have his Record of Service card - W/Cpl A (Arthur) Wareing, T/14.633.196, ASC 17/6/43-8/7/43 and RASC 9/7/43-5/12/46. Many thanks in advance for any help.
