Hello all, My dad has just turned 78 and I would like to try and find anyone out there who carried out there national service in Cyprus during 1959-61. His name is Hugh Anderson and he was based just south of Famagusta and travelled twice to North Africa. Tobruk and El Alamein were two of the places that he remembers well. He was a driver and took paratroopers on various trips, He often now talks of his time spent in Cyprus and north Africa. I would love to hear from anyone who might remember my dad. He spoke of one close friend, Rab Connolly (sorry if I've got the spelling wrong). He has a lot of great pictures from his time overseas. I hope that someone out there has memories that they would like to share with my dad at some point. His eldest son, David.
