I was in Bond troop at that time. We were the only intake at the time and out of a troop of 64 , had 1irish guy,1south African ,9 english guys and the rest of us were jocks. I remember playing football against ford troop about the time of the royal wedding.I was a junior corporal and moved to ford troop when the new intake arrived,so maybe I beasted you a bit . 24588119 ex sgt Brodie

I remember a big lanky guy called musgrove and a wee jock called Gerry Mcnulty. I remember when the troop sergeant left and we all chipped in an got him a cb radio. Sgt Ford I think. Happy days mate.

You remember anymore names or do you know of anywhere there are lists of the troops and intakes for Colerne? Also why don't you register on the site properly instead of as a guest? Makes it easier to contact people

I was in the 57 Sqn JLR RCT April 1981 intake, on the otherside of building. I was the lonely Scotsman in the other barracks with a coĆ¼ple welsh guys. 24588179 only made Junior Lance because i was to long on the sick. But it was a nice time there kicking the infantry in everything The Staff were just great, hope some read this. I stayed in forces till 89 and settled down in Germany.
