Sorry I didn't serve with 65 Coy in Famagusta, but was with them when they were up in Nicosia, Queen Elizabeth Barracks if memory serves me correct. ! was there from 8/64 to 2/65. The OC was a Captain Beale. If Dennis Hackforth is out there, Can I have my 10/- back, not forgetting Tex Tingey (Servicing) and Herman the German on POL. Those were the days!!!

Hi John. I was in 65 coy form Jan 1963 to July 1965 stationed in Bicester Oxfordshire. I was in Cypress Famagusta from Oct 1964 to March 1965. Claim to fame:- I took the first Ski Lift up Mount Trudoss. My Orders were to take my 10 tonner to the end of the road , put it in 6 wheel drive and get as far up the mountain as I could. The farther up the Mountain I could go, the less distance it would have to be carried. BLR'ed 5 of my tyres but it was fun. All the best. Les Medland.
